Do I book inside VibeGuide?

No. VibeGuide is a DISCOVERY platform. From a destination's "Details" page you're forwarded to a partner platform (Booking.com, Tripadvisor, Airbnb, Expedia) where booking, payment, and customer support take place.

How accurate are the recommendations?

Location information can change over time. Schengen badges, cost tier, and "why this vibe" notes are informational.

Verify critical details (visa, transportation, pricing, availability, seasonal closures) with official sources or the partner platform before traveling.

Do I need an account?

No. VibeGuide is fully anonymous-by-design. Your likes and preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage; we don't maintain a personal account on our servers.

What happens to my data?

Your free text is sent to OpenAI's language model for inference and is not persistently stored on our servers.

Interaction events (page views, likes, dismisses) are counted with an anonymous session identifier — not linked to personal data.

What does the Schengen badge mean?

It's an informational tag for countries in the Schengen Area. Visa requirements depend on your passport — this badge is NOT legal advice.

Visa-free options inside the dataset (Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, etc.) can offer planning flexibility for non-Schengen passport holders. Always verify with your destination's embassy or consulate.

Is the cost tier (€/€€/€€€) the actual price?

No, it's a rough indicator grouped into three tiers from the Numbeo Cost of Living Index 2025. Actual accommodation prices vary widely by season, dates, and the specific property on partner platforms.

How reliable is the AI?

Design choice: the AI interprets your intent; filtering and ranking are run by our deterministic code. The AI cannot fabricate a destination.

Location descriptions may still be partially AI-generated; if you spot an inaccuracy please let us know.

Will I lose my favorites?

Likes are stored in your browser's localStorage — preserved as long as you stay in the same browser. Clearing browser data or switching devices resets the list (anonymous usage model).

What if recommendations feel wrong?

On the reveal page, click ✕ on a card and pick one of the reason chips (too expensive, wrong country, etc.). These signals improve the engine.

Or run a new, more specific search: "cheap" / "luxury", specific region, season, etc.
